The founders of the Rally, Fred Dukeson aided by Bert Findlay were mulling over what to call it when Bert lit up his roll-up from a box of Scottish Bluebell matches. The logo and the name were used for the rally.

The rally has been sometimes nicknamed the "Deed Weed Rally".

Yes, we once had a "budget" rally held in Barrmill called the "Swally Rally". if you have any of the badges for this Rally let us know.

We had a good rally in 2007 and decided to move it to a later time in the year for 2008, with the aim of some warmer nights, as in 2007 it was a bit frosty. But the numbers who pre-booked this year were not enough and with a month to go, we cancelled the Rally while it was still feasible to do so.

We would like to do the Rally later this year if possible - lets us use the 2008 badges!.
